Fish Head Curry

Did you have a nice National Day holiday? I hope you did. I did. On 9th August 2006 (obviously!), my family went out. First we went to this Old Ford Factory because daddy wanted us to go there, but i didn't find it VERY interesting, only the short show about the Battle For Singapore was interesting. Oh ya, its an Old Ford Factory for making cars and is now transformed into a history museum (sp?) for WWII.

Then, we went to eat Fish Head Curry which was somewhere near... Bugis Junction. The rice and food was served on Banana leaves! Whee! Never had that before! And daddy, who was a big eater wanted a medium fish head. Luckily, mummy insisted on a small one cos me and sis never ate it before. And she says Indian curry is very hot. Wow, she was smart. We ate a LITTLE bit before we cannot take it. We drank lime juice, freshly squeezed and cold (luckily if not the curry...) and i had tandori chicken and potato which were not hot. But the curry WAS hot. So, if you had not tried it before... try small amounts. Then i felt my mouth burning... and daddy ordered this pure yoghurt thingy. It was SO sour! Anyway, after eating that, my mouth did not feel any burning. And they give so much and we ate only one spoon each.

Ohya, the restaurant was called Banana Leaf Apollo something. And that day was the boss's son's 21st birthday. They were preparing the party cos it was dinner time and i guess the reception was soon... and the cake was HUGGEEEE!!! Wow!! It's even bigger than the size of a normal microwave! I guess you could say as big (width wise) as a counter in the canteen store!!!

I couldn't believe it!!!

Anyway, that was National day! Oh and Happy Birthday to Charis and Anthea!!
