The End of Semester One!

Believe it or not, semester one of my fourth year in this school is coming to an end... in one more day! It's really amazing that i survived this semester despite all the negative thoughts. I should really really start telling myself that i can do it, and stop doubting my ability. I know i can do what i want if i have the willpower; the problem is, i keep telling myself (and others) that i'm not up to mark. Okay, i shall take up the challenge. For the next semester, i shall try my very very best to complete all the work to the best of my ability and work hard for the results. And, indeed, Nes, if i get A1 then you bring me out(: IF. (uh, oh, there i go again.)

It's extremely fasinating to sit and watch people gossip during a combined class pizza party. The topics that the students raise around teachers, the response the teachers give, the actions of the teachers in attempt to evade a question, the pestering of students... all these are very interesting. I guess the reason why i don't exactly participate in such conversations are that i'm just observing, observing, observing.

There are so many things i want to do this holiday, so many things that i think i can never complete all of them. Big dreams... big dreams. Nope, they're not studying, because there are so many things that i've missed out during the school term as i focussed on grades that i want to enjoy during this holidays. Among them is going to the regional library one day and read and read andreadandread the entire day. Or to go out shopping and pamper myself a little; i've not been shopping for more than a term already! And i want to go to someone's house and play a duet with her, or she can come over. And i want to have dinner with some of my closest friends where we just eat and talk without worrying what time we have to be home because we need to study...

Dilemma

I just feel confused. Obviously, my heart is not with staying on. Obviously i place one above another. When given a choice, i gravitate towards A and not to B. (Sorry, it isn't appropriate to reveal names of organisations, people, however you choose to interpret it.) Faced with two emails requesting for similar things, i choose A: i reply to A, comment about the activities, volunteer; for B, i do volunteer, but that's purely due to personal gains.

So why am i clinging on so fast to B? Why am i staying on? Why don't i have the courage to persuade mummy? And, why don't mummy let me leave? That would make my life much happier. Oh yes, much, much happier. I so cannot imagine a life without A, because that's my passion; but i guess B would get better, i just entered at the wrong time, that's all.

June Holidays

Oh no, the updates are less and less frequent. I think that happens when you progress into the fourth year in the school. you know, the scary scary school.

Again, as usual, my holidays are burnt. Ever since i've committed to take on a leadership position like council, PSL, MA, i've had little holidays. It's always planning, dry-runs, camps etc. Then there are other random stuff that eats up your time too. Ahh. All i want is just a simple holiday where i can just relax and play! I don't want to go back to school almost everyday!

I've got lots of mosquito bites. It's super itchy. Okay, i shall refrain from counting them, because that would bore myself out. Ahh okay. Now the next half of the year i need to be able to persuade mummy to let me take chem honours. She agreed for maths honours, thankfully. Somehow i managed to get her to agree, and surprisingly it isn't difficult. Then i have less than a week to decide if i should carry on with chem olympiad. And then i've to start reading the silly literature review for my IRP, oh gosh, i think i need peer tutoring! Hahaa. That's the point of research, isn't it. And i've got to start preparing for o level higher chinese, if not i'll end up like last year (which i probably will) reading the book for newspaper reviews the day before the exam -.-

'Remind me to pack my medicine for my trip overseas. My medicine is really ironic. Or you could call it an oxymoron. It's chocolate-looking but super hard to swallow, and it melts! Just like chocolate. So it gives me more trouble every morning to take the medicine out of the fridge. Gosh, why must they change the packaging!
