There was a time when march holidays, or any holiday at all, was meant for taking a good, well-deserved break after a term of studying hard. That does not necessarily mean slacking off, because if one slacks after studying so hard, one would feel so bored and unmotivated. But it means doing what you want, like practising the piano, watching your favourite cartoon shows and going for lunch or dinner as a family.
Today, holidays seem to be more like a small short break, whereby time is given for you to complete all your projects and assignments. What an emormous pile of assignments we have! Then, we have to go back to school so many days to prepare for activities for the next term, the result of being in a leadership board under Dr Wong. Next, i have to follow Kenwei to his voice lesson, the consequence of wanting to learn how to sing well and be good and catch up to my dear cousin (I will be better than him one day!!)
There's no time for a family outing. On days i have nothing to do, supposedly to complete homework and do projects, my sister has chess tournaments and debate workshops. My dad has seminars. Where have our break gone to? But i think this is a nice break, because year 3 is so different from year 2, and i do wish for a break. Unfortunately, this might be the only break i have till June. Then in june, there will be other camps and stuff. Aww.
